Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah and expressed condolences over the loss of lives in the devastating flash floods in Nepal. Modi assured Nepal of India’s support and said India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance for rescue and relief operations.The floods have severely affected Rasuwa district, with the Bhote Koshi River overflowing and sweeping away homes, roads, bridges and infrastructure. Hundreds of people have been reported missing, including 105 Indian nationals, according to preliminary figures from Nepal authorities.India has offered assistance as Nepal continues its search-and-rescue operation.
